Faith, trials, and the Holy Ghost—Ashly and her dad discuss Christ’s Atonement on Palm Sunday

“With the Spirit you can endure anything on this earth. And I know that when we strive to live worthily and have that Spirit that everything in our lives is bearable and it’s possible. And not only is it bearable and possible, but it’s glorious, and even the very worst of those times that those trials, Heavenly Father has a plan for us.” 00:00 Veil Is Thin 02:47 Dad Joins Podcast 04:10 Origin Story Recap 11:16 Bold Believers Lesson 16:23 Callings And Blessings 18:40 Blizzard Rescue Story 22:43 Ministering Promptings 23:36 Sacrament And Atonement 25:31 Bearing The Unbearable Jewelry code COMEBACK for 10% off https://memorjewelry.com/ Serve Clothing code COMEBACK for 15% off https://serveclothing.com/ If you have a story to share please fill out the form: https://form.jotform.com/233109071625046 For inquiries contact info.comebackpodcast@gmail.com Come Back Team: Director, Founder, & Host: Ashly Stone Editor: Cara Reed Outreach Manager: Jenna Carlson Assistant Editor: Britt Smallze Art Director: Jeremy Garcia Production Director: Trent Wardwell

From tragedy to testimony, Melissa’s story of grief, faith, and Jesus Christ’s healing

“We didn’t get that miracle that we really desperately pleaded for, but I feel like I have a stronger testimony of miracles than I ever have, even though it wasn’t the one that I wanted. I don’t know the answers of why she didn’t get to live the rest of her life and why she isn’t here with us and why am I still here? It’s like such a strange, backward feeling that you have a child that’s no longer here and then I feel like she is–this is still her story, because she’s impacting people as well and she’s still a part of it. It’s still her story. And so that really motivates me to share the gospel and to share our experience.”   00:00 A Surreal Morning 04:24 Struggles as a Teen 14:24 COVID, Faith Challenges, and Loss 24:56 Miracles, Angels, and Priesthood 26:14 Community Support and Ministering 35:24 Sharing Faith and Social Media 40:29 Grief and Finding Community   September 5th & 6th COME BACK TO CHRIST EVENT Tickets can be purchased at: https://www.comebackpodcast.org/come-back-to-christ-event-september-5-6-utah-valley-convention-center-provo-ut-3/Come Back to Christ Event   Sponsors: Home Home Home https://www.latterdaymatchmaker.com/ https://www.matthewbraidleypianos.com/ Home Home   Cozy Earth code COMEBACK for 40% off https://cozyearth.com/   Serve Clothing code COMEBACK for 15% offhttps://serveclothing.com/   If you have a story to share please contact ashly.comebackpodcast@gmail.com For inquiries contact info.comebackpodcast@gmail.com   Come Back Team:Director, Founder, & Host: Ashly Stone Editor: Cara Reed Outreach Manager: Jenna Carlson Assistant Editor: Michelle Berger Assistant Editor: Britt Smallze Art Director: Jeremy Garcia Production Director: Trent Wardwell

Jillian’s story of the questions that led to her stepping away, and the Spirit that brought her back

“I studied and I prayed and I screamed at God and I sobbed in the shower when you realize you don’t know what you believe anymore and that potentially everything that you have believed and you’ve built your life on and you’ve built your eternity. When that’s suddenly gone, you are like, I don’t know who I am. I just felt like I was in just absolute misery. I didn’t know what was up. I didn’t know what was down. I knew that I was a good person. I knew I had values, I knew that he had values and was a good person, but I needed structure, I needed direction.   Website: https://www.comebackpodcast.org Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/come.back.podcast/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100085100628137 Twitter: https://twitter.com/Come_Back_Pod Tik Tok: https://www.tiktok.com/@come.back.podcast Join our Book Club: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1129233501137568/ If you have a story to share please contact: ashly.comebackpodcast@gmail.com For business inquiries contact: info.comebackpodcast@gmail.com Come Back Team:Director, Founder & Host: Ashly Stone Editor: Cara Reed Outreach Manager: Jenna Carlson Assistant Editor: Michelle Berger Art Director: Jeremy Garcia Production Director: Trent Wardwell

Partying with Post Malone… Then Finding God

“I think that’s the big thing is I had been to the temple once, right when I got outta prison. But I didn’t feel like I was doing it for myself. I felt like I was doing it for the people around me and I didn’t get to really enjoy it. And of course, your first time in the temple, you’re looking everywhere. You’re like, what does this mean? What does this mean? But now that I came back to this church and I went back for the first time in February, it’s for me, it’s for no one else. It’s for me. When you do it for yourself, it feels so much better.” Come Back Team Director, Founder & Host: Ashly Stone Producer: Outreach Manager: Jenna Carlson Editor: Cara Reed Assistant Editor: Michelle Berger Art Director: Jeremy Garcia Episode sponsor: Serve Clothing https://serveclothing.com/?gad_source=1

I always thought that supporting my family and working for my family was the best thing that I can do. I never realized that quitting my job and becoming sober was the best thing that I could do. I just thought ‘I have to work, there’s no way around this.’ Quitting my job was terrifying! I read the Book of Mormon during that time and my bishop had given me a blessing that said my ancestors and my posterity were watching over me. So even my children’s children were aware of what we were going through.”     Come Back Team: Director, Founder & Host: Ashly Stone Producer: Lauren Rose Outreach Manager: Jenna Carlson Editor: Cara Reed Assistant Editor: Michelle Berger Art Director: Jeremy Garcia   Episode sponsor: Serve Clothing https://serveclothing.com/?gad_source=1

Jori was adopted at birth, then she gave up her daughter for adoption. How these events brought her closer to her Heavenly Father.

“Going through years of therapy and working through adoption trauma for myself and placing my own baby for adoption has always been a very big pain point for me because I was placed for adoption and didn’t have a choice. That choice was my birth mom’s choice. And then I turned around and placed my baby for adoption and she didn’t have that choice. Even though I felt like that was the best thing to do for us at the time, I still struggle with that. We actually have opened the adoption up more and we have had some deep discussions about what it means to be adopted, what it means to be a birth mom and how hard it can be. It’s never that the baby is not wanted. They are always wanted. I always want to reiterate that with her and with all adoptees that might feel that way. That is always a bittersweet part of my story. But there is also joy, you know, what is sorrow and pain without joy and happiness? Even though I love my biological mom dearly and my half siblings, I can’t imagine my life without my adopted family, who I’m sealed to. I love the life that I’ve created and the relationships I have with my siblings and my nieces and nephews and my sweet parents who raised me in the gospel. Who knows if I would have had that without being adopted.”   @thestoryofjori   Come Back Team: Director, Founder & Host: Ashly Stone Producer and Senior Editor: Lauren Rose Outreach Manager: Jenna Carlson Editor: Michelle Berger Art Director: Jeremy Garcia

With Jen’s faith in Christ, her life was changed from being a homeless meth addict to helping others.

That life is this beautiful symphony we all have parts that we contribute to make that melody the masterpiece that it is. If you haven’t figured out your part yet then just keep listening, you will figure it out. In that moment I translated that to stay on the planet a little longer, you haven’t figured out what your part is yet. So I decided I would give this prayer thing a chance. I drove my truck to my storage unit that I was living in and turned off the car. I turned to God as if He was sitting in the seat next to me and I just started pouring my heart out to Him.” – https://turtleshelterproject.org https://instagram.com/turtleshelterproject?igshid=MTNiYzNiMzkwZA== https://www.facebook.com/turtleshelterproject –   Come Back Team: Director, Founder & Host: Ashly Stone Producer and Senior Editor: Lauren Rose Outreach Manager: Jenna Carlson Editor: Michelle Berger Art Director: Jeremy Garcia

Morgan’s phenomenal story about family, uncertainty, and the joys she experienced coming back to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

“One time my dad called me a few days after the seizure happened and I was trying to explain this feeling to him. I said ‘Dad I don’t know what is going on. I have so much gratitude but at the same time I just had this life altering event. I don’t know what happened. If I have some scary thing going on, but I just feel so much gratitude.’ He answered, ‘I really think that is the Spirit telling you that He is there with you and you are on the right track.’ That very second I connected the dots and I realized this was meant to happen. I had just prayed for an answer, and in the weirdest way, it felt so real to me. Ever since then I knew this was my answer.” — Recommended books: The Book of Mormon Made Easier, by David J.
