Marley’s Faith Crisis Pulled Her Away from the Church….and Why She Decided to Stay

“ The answer to every question or concern that anybody ever has is that it will all be okay because of the Atonement of Jesus Christ. That is what it’s for. That is why they say the first principle of the gospel is faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. It is real life. It’s not just something that we tell Primary kids because it’s cute, and we turned it into a cute little story and song. It is real. Start there. I came to really love my Savior, and He came to really help me.” 00:00 Facebook Post Sparks Questions 04:49 Marley’s Childhood 13:07 Sacred Grove Testimony 23:08 Mission Struggles And Family Addiction 34:44 Overwhelmed And Doubting 39:29 Choosing To Stay 51:45 Faith Choice And Imperfect Church 56:48 Healing Through Christ Purchase Come Back to Christ Event 2026 Tickets Here: www.comebackpodcast.org Memor Jewelry code COMEBACK for 10% off https://memorjewelry.com/ Serve Clothing code COMEBACK for 15% off https://serveclothing…. Bee Knew Something Was Off in Her Marriage…It Led Her Back to Jesus Christ

“We have a Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ who love us, and we’re good enough. Nobody gets to tell us who we are, including ourselves when it’s terrible. Because Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ’s opinion is the only thing that matters. I’m learning to really take that on and to really know for myself that it doesn’t matter what anybody thinks of me but them, and as long as I’m trying my best, it’s okay.” – 00:00 Trust Shattered 00:37 Come Back Event Invite 05:00 Childhood Abuse And Shame 06:27 Fast Marriage 07:21 Hidden Addiction And Poverty 10:22 Hospital Help And Affair Reveal 14:21 Repentance And Rebuilding 16:47 Her Faith Crisis Spiral 18:39 Coworker Sparks Return 31:22 Importance of Helping Others – Purchase Come Back to Christ Event 2026 Tickets Here: www.comebackpodcast.org Jewelry code COMEBACK for 10% off https://memorjewelry.com/ Serve Clothing code COMEBACK for 15% off https://serveclothing.com/ If you have a story to share please submit here: https://comebackpodcast.org/submissions/ For inquiries contact info.comebackpodcast@gmail.com Come Back Team: Director, Founder, & Host: Ashly Stone Editor: Cara Reed Outreach Manager: Jenna Carlson Assistant Editor: Britt Smallze Art Director: Jeremy Garcia Production Director: Trent Wardwell
Religious Scrupulosity Nearly Destroyed Hayli’s Faith … Until She Rediscoverd Jesus Christ

“ No amount of scripture reading, praying, mission serving, nitpicking your husbanding is going to save you. It’s not. Having a relationship with your Savior, Jesus Christ, and your Heavenly Father will. If you know that they love you, and if you let that in, it will change your life in a way that nothing else will.” – Memor Jewelry code COMEBACK for 10% offhttps://memorjewelry.com/ Serve Clothing code COMEBACK for 15% offhttps://serveclothing.com/ – 00:00 Burnout And Needing Grace 05:35 Childhood Exposure And Shame 12:49 Scrupulosity And Mission Spiral 21:36 Marriage Under Perfectionism 27:29 Discovering Scrupulosity 34:35 Letting Go To Heal 36:45 EMDR And Trauma Recovery 45:52 Atonement And Reflections – If you have a story to share please submit here: https://comebackpodcast.org/submissions/ For inquiries contact info.comebackpodcast@gmail.com – Come Back Team: Director, Founder, & Host: Ashly Stone Editor: Cara Reed Outreach Manager: Jenna Carlson Assistant Editor: Britt Smallze Art Director: Jeremy Garcia Production Director: Trent Wardwell
“Be Thou Humble” Thomas B. Marsh’s Come Back Story told by Casey Griffiths from Scripture Central

“ And I see that in Thomas B. Marsh’s words, where he says ‘The Savior loved me, but he loved me enough to whoop me.’ Basically, to put me in circumstances where I realized that I needed to come back and that I was missing something from my life.” Come Back Team Director, Founder & Host: Ashly Stone Producer: Trent Wardwell Outreach Manager: Jenna Carlson Editor: Cara Reed Assistant Editor: Michelle Berger Art Director: Jeremy Garcia Episode sponsor: Serve Clothing https://serveclothing.com/?gad_source=1
Tiffany had doubts about the church and the temple, then returns and feels closer to God than ever.

“I am so glad that I’ve been on both ends because to feel what it actually feels like is really cool. So many times I’d be like, ‘What if I wouldn’t have come back? I wouldn’t have had this experience. And I wouldn’t be able to associate with these people in the way that I have been.’ And every time I was just so thankful that there was a desire in me that never gave up looking for Jesus. And that other people listened to the Spirit and came and found me, you know? All the time I’m like, thank you for letting me come back. I’m so glad I’m back.” – Book recommendation: Worth the Wrestle, by Sheri L. Nate’s spiritual experiences helped turn his life around to something beautiful and fulfilling.

“I go and meet with my branch president. Just the nicest, goofiest, happiest person. I just felt so comfortable. I knew this guy loved me. He’s not going to judge me. I went in and I confessed everything. I told him I messed up, but I wanted to go to the temple. I remember he said, ‘Nate, you’ve confessed and you’ve forsaken. You are forgiven. But what’s most important now is you need to forgive yourself.’ That was the hardest part. I remember thinking ‘God, if you could forgive me, maybe I can forgive myself’ because I just felt so bad. I had missed so many opportunities to do good things. I messed up – I messed up really bad. And I didn’t love myself. I remember after that meeting just thinking, ‘I did it! I let it go, I let it go! I was able to do it with president Donnelly’s help!’ I believe that Jesus died for my sins, and if He was willing to pay the price to die for me, then I can have the courage to let it go. I can let my ego go and it’s all on Him. So when I walked out of that office I remember just feeling like, yes! I felt so free, just so clean and happy and light.” Come Back Team: Director, Founder & Host: Ashly Stone Producer and Senior Editor: Lauren Rose Outreach Manager: Jenna Carlson Editor: Michelle Berger Art Director: Jeremy Garcia
Shannah grew up in an unstable environment and left the church at a young age. Fifteen years later she re-enters the waters of baptism.

“The community is really awesome and going to school is really awesome. But I’m happier now because I have a healed, happy, healthy, strong relationship with Jesus Christ and with Heavenly Father. I have peace in a way I never had before. I did a lot of healing from my traumas on my own in secular therapy but this has brought me beyond healing, it’s brought me to hope and trust. That’s why I’m happier, it’s just been so amazing. The saying is true, you do become a new creature in Christ. I still look at the things I’m doing and am surprised.” Come Back Team: Director, Founder & Host: Ashly Stone Producer and Senior Editor: Lauren Rose Outreach Manager: Jenna Carlson Editor: Michelle Berger Art Director: Jeremy Garcia
