Cade grew up less active – then the Book of Mormon changed everything

“The choice to stay and the choice to keep your faith in Christ is so vital. Especially when things don’t go your way or they don’t make sense, it’s so easy to just fall into this mindset of not believing anymore or talking yourself out of the miracles you’ve experienced or the prayers that have been answered and experiences you’ve had. That choice is just beyond powerful.” — Recommended by Cade: -Church History Matters podcast, especially episodes 12 and 17 (regarding questions about plural marriage): episode 12: https://www.podbean.com/ew/pb-up975-1416393 episode 17: https://www.podbean.com/ew/pb-nfphf-1442d0c -talk by Lawrence Corbridge, “Stand Forever” (BYU speeches): https://share.google/ZR9Clkf3tAonqOuwf — 00:00 Faith Shaken Fast 02:30 Family Steps Away 04:51 Sister’s Farewell Awakening 09:35 Grounded in the Book of Mormon 14:54 First Solo Sunday Back 24:36 Quarantine Doubts Surface 37:32 Hard Questions Build Faith 48:20 Stay With Him Finale Mike’s Auto Shack https://mikesautoshack.com/ Serve Clothing code COMEBACK for 15% off https://serveclothing.com/ If you have a story to share please fill out the form: https://form.jotform.com/233109071625046 For inquiries contact info.comebackpodcast@gmail.com Come Back Team: Director, Founder, & Host: Ashly Stone Editor: Cara Reed Outreach Manager: Jenna Carlson Assistant Editor: Britt Smallze Art Director: Jeremy Garcia Production Director: Trent Wardwell
“You’re going to die tonight” – how God and Angels saved Whitney and led her back to Jesus Christ

“It doesn’t matter where you are on the path, it just matters which direction you’re facing. I honestly wish I could say that my life is perfect, and since I’ve gone back to the temple everything has just fallen into place for me. There are times when I kill my sense of joy by comparing myself to other people, but I have to remind myself that it’s okay where I’m at. And just like in the creation on the second day, the third day, it is still good. We are still good, and God still sees us as good. Ashly Stone interviews Don Bradley at the FAIR Conference August 2025

“For those who are struggling with doubt, one thing that I would say is keep hold of the things that you do know are true. Don’t throw the baby out with the bath water. Whatever has worked in your life, spiritually, make sure you keep doing that. Don’t let yourself get so focused no the things that you are struggling with, or that are disturbing to you, that you stop doing those things. Those things can serve as an anchor.” If you have a story to share please contact ashly.comebackpodcast@gmail.com For inquiries contact info.comebackpodcast@gmail.com Come Back Team: Director, Founder, & Host: Ashly Stone Editor: Cara Reed Outreach Manager: Jenna Carlson Assistant Editor: Michelle Berger Assistant Editor: Britt Smallze Art Director: Jeremy Garcia Production Director: Trent Wardwell
When Scott encountered anti-mormon content online, he turned it into a mission of faith through FAIR

“I have the fortunate experience of having seen so many critical questions answered that I just have faith that there’s going to be an answer somewhere for most of it. But really for me, it also comes down to the Book of Mormon. Because I believe the Book of Mormon is the word of God. I have a witness of that. I feel that there is evidence of that, not proof, but strong evidences that indicate that it is true. There’s testimony from witnesses, and the criticisms against it that I’ve looked at have been weak. And so when I come across a new question that I don’t know the answer for, I always rely on- I know the Book of Mormon’s true, so the church is true- even though I don’t know the answer to this question. And there are some questions that don’t have good answers for them. We just don’t have the information.” — Fair website: Home Page Jason Coombs free webclass, ‘The Secret to Sobriety: How to Break Your Son’s Addiction Without Paying $30,000 for Rehab’, Next Class starts Saturday August 2 at 9:30am. Jasmin Rappleye: Polygamy, New Garments, Temples, and defending the church on social media in 2025

“ I think studying a little bit about a hard topic can be more dangerous than studying a lot about a hard topic because there’s so much more under the iceberg that can help contextualize what’s going on. And so I would definitely say if you’re struggling, don’t be afraid of the hard questions, but just do it with an approach of faith, hope, and charity. Take a deep breath, make sure you take your time and are doing it in a mindset where you are prepared to tackle these in a rational, reasonable, and faith filled way. But probably more importantly, I ultimately don’t think that study and rational thinking is what really keeps people in the church. It really is having a relationship with Jesus Christ. It’s those spiritual moments that make us realize that this is true, that this is good, that this is something that is going to bring so much meaning and beauty into my life and this is gonna bring me closer to God than anything else.” – Recommended sources for hard questions: https://mormonr.org/ Home Page https://scripturecentral.org/ http://www.youtube.com/@churchhistorymatterspodcast Jasmin’s instagram: jasminrappleye – Episode Sponsor: Serve Clothing Website: https://www.comebackpodcast.org Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/come.back.podcast Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100085100628137 Twitter: https://twitter.com/Come_Back_Pod Tik Tok: https://www.tiktok.com/@come.back.podcast If you have a story to share please contact: ashly.comebackpodcast@gmail.com For business inquiries contact: info.comebackpodcast@gmail.com Come Back Team: Director, Founder & Host: Ashly Stone Editor: Cara Reed Outreach Manager: Jenna Carlson Assistant Editor: Michelle Berger Assistant Editor: Britt Smallze Art Director: Jeremy Garcia Production Director: Trent Wardwell
Don Bradley’s story of removing of records, rediscovering truth, and returning to Christ’s church

“One evening after work, I actually had been pondering all this. And just realized, I was completely convinced that God had tried to reach out to the world, reach out to me through Christ, and so I went into one of the little side classrooms that they have there that was empty and prayed, and just accepted Christ, confessed my sins, my sinfulness. And that night walking home I just experienced wave after wave of peace coming over me. I like to say it’s not just like an absence of trouble. It’s peace, like a positive, palpable presence, right? Something there. It felt so thick, you could cut it with a knife. I felt that God loved me. I felt God’s love overwhelmingly.” Website: https://www.comebackpodcast.org Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/come.back.podcast/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100085100628137 Twitter: https://twitter.com/Come_Back_Pod Tik Tok: https://www.tiktok.com/@come.back.podcast Join our Book Club: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1129233501137568/ If you have a story to share please contact: ashly.comebackpodcast@gmail.com For business inquiries contact: info.comebackpodcast@gmail.com Come Back Team: Director, Founder & Host: Ashly Stone Editor: Cara Reed Outreach Manager: Jenna Carlson Assistant Editor: Michelle Berger Art Director: Jeremy Garcia Production Director: Trent Wardwell
“Be Thou Humble” Thomas B. Marsh’s Come Back Story told by Casey Griffiths from Scripture Central

“ And I see that in Thomas B. Marsh’s words, where he says ‘The Savior loved me, but he loved me enough to whoop me.’ Basically, to put me in circumstances where I realized that I needed to come back and that I was missing something from my life.” Come Back Team Director, Founder & Host: Ashly Stone Producer: Trent Wardwell Outreach Manager: Jenna Carlson Editor: Cara Reed Assistant Editor: Michelle Berger Art Director: Jeremy Garcia Episode sponsor: Serve Clothing https://serveclothing.com/?gad_source=1
The Stick of Joseph brothers talk about building faith through questions and lessons learned by overcoming personal challenges.

“It was interesting to see where Hayden was in high school to where he was when I came back from my mission and how big of a change that was. I was able to see this with the conversations we were having about the gospel. I saw so much more conviction in him after he put his beliefs on the table and dissected them and then to finding those pillars in which he had to stake his faith on. It allowed me to see his conviction and also to trust him more as a source to go to with the questions I still had – even after serving a mission.” – Book recommendations: Faith is Not Blind, by Bruce C. Oliver Cowdery’s come back story told by historian and host Casey Griffiths from the Church History Matters Podcast

“Before Oliver passes away, he goes out of his way on several occasions to publicly and ardently bear testimony of the restoration of the Book of Mormon. One of the more well-known accounts is a guy named Jacob Gates. He’s on his way to his mission and he stops in Richmond to visit Oliver Cowdery. Jacob Gates asks Oliver, ‘Is it all true? Can you tell me if it’s true?’ Oliver Cowdery says, ‘Jacob, I want you to remember what I say to you. I am a dying man. What would it profit me to tell you a lie? I know that this Book of Mormon was translated by the gift and power of God. My eyes saw, my ears heard, and my understanding was touched. I know that whereof I testified is true. It was no dream, no vain imagination of the mind. It was real.’ I think this was recorded two or three months before Oliver passed away. And he says, he doesn’t have any reason to lie at this point. In fact, he wants to tell the truth because he knows he’s about to meet his Maker. And he still bears his testimony on the Book of Mormon.” Come Back Team: Director, Founder & Host: Ashly Stone Producer and Senior Editor: Lauren Rose Outreach Manager: Jenna Carlson Editor: Michelle Berger Art Director: Jeremy Garcia Episode sponsor: Serve Clothing https://serveclothing.com/?gad_source=1
When Heather’s marriage began to fail, her husband started showing her anti-Mormon content, which shook her testimony. How she used the strength of those around her to navigate her trials.

“There was this amazing thing that happened at Carthage Jail. There was a guy there, a college -age guy, who was in sweats, like total travel clothing. We went up to the room where John Taylor sang the song, ‘Poor Wayfaring Man of Grief.’ They usually just play a recording of that song but this guys mom put him on the spot and said, ‘My son is a music major. He’s about to graduate and he knows this song, would it be okay if he sang the song?’ He got up and sang that song so beautifully and music speaks to me. The Spirit has spoken to me through music so many times. I just feel the spirit in songs so much. Something transitioned for me there. It was just so real life for me that he was standing up there singing so beautifully, he knew the words, and was put on the spot and yet did such a rockin’ job at it.” https://www.plantwhys.com/comeback Come Back Team: Director, Founder & Host: Ashly Stone Producer and Senior Editor: Lauren Rose Outreach Manager: Jenna Carlson Editor: Michelle Berger Art Director: Jeremy Garcia
