Matthew Struggled with Same-Sex Attraction, was Excommunicated, then Found Freedom in Jesus Christ
“ When I rooted my identity in the Lord like I never have before, I realized that I am not the carnal desires of my body… “Therefore, crucify the lusts of the flesh and walk in the spirit.” (Gal 5:5). As I’ve done that, I have come to realize full-heartedly, I am not my sexuality.. in the scriptures it says freedom comes where the spirit of the Lord is, and freedom comes when sin is no longer your master. I have experienced freedom from same-sex attraction. It doesn’t mean that God came and removed the thorn in my side, but it means that when I walk in His Spirit, I can stand immovable and unwavering in the face of temptation as Jesus did.” – Follow Matthew on socials: @mattrichardson.official on Instagram – 00:00 Paralyzed By Blackmail 06:35 Teen Years And Inner Turmoil 14:33 Identity Shattered 18:43 Mission Highs And Dark Relapse 26:50 Divorce and Dark Spiral 32:25 Rock Bottom to Scripture Routine 38:49 Deliverance and New Life 46:05 Baptism Miracle – Tickets to the Come Back to Christ Event: www.comebackpodcast.org Mike’s Auto Shack https://mikesautoshack.com/ Serve Clothing code COMEBACK for 15% off https://serveclothing.com/ – If you have a story to share please submit here: https://comebackpodcast.org/submissions/ – For inquiries contact info.comebackpodcast@gmail.com – Come Back Team: Director, Founder, & Host: Ashly Stone Editor: Cara Reed Outreach Manager: Jenna Carlson Assistant Editor: Britt Smallze Art Director: Jeremy Garcia Production Director: Trent Wardwell

No father at home and battling addiction, Will finds his true identity through his Father in Heaven
“ I wish I had this knowledge at the age of 12 or even 8 when I was baptized. And I know it was probably preached to me, but I wish I would’ve grasped it. But I wish I knew who I was before. I wish I knew that I was truly a son of God. You can figure out who you are by gaining a relationship with your Father in Heaven. It’s real. It’s almost tangible. There’s times where I say prayers and I feel the spirit so strongly that I’m speechless, you know? I think if we really try to get close to Heavenly Father, He’s not going to hold back.” — Brothaz in the Foyer YouTube podcast: https://m.youtube.com/@brothazinthefoyer — Cozy Earth code COMEBACK for 40% off https://cozyearth.com/ Serve Clothing code COMEBACK for 15% offhttps://serveclothing.com/ 00:00 Struggles with Church and Addiction 06:12 Will’s Early Childhood and Family Background 07:43 Impact of Missionaries and Church Activities 19:23 Realization and Return to Faith 35:31 A Pivotal Bishop Interview 45:41 Mission Challenges and Growth 56:09 Advice for Those Who Feel They Don’t Belong 01:01:02 Closing Thoughts and Gratitude If you have a story to share please contact ashly.comebackpodcast@gmail.com For business inquiries contact info.comebackpodcast@gmail.com Come Back Team: Director, Founder, & Host: Ashly Stone Editor: Cara Reed Outreach Manager: Jenna Carlson Assistant Editor: Michelle Berger Assistant Editor: Britt Smallze Art Director: Jeremy Garcia Production Director: Trent Wardwell
“You got the wrong guy!” How God called Owen when he least expected it.
“This is what those athletes are missing, they are missing peace. They’re missing hope. They’re missing security. I have never been more confident in my life. In sports, we put on this facade that we’re the best and we have so much confidence and it is so shallow. You do one thing and boom, our confidence is tanked. And so my invitation to those athletes would be, if you want to be more confident than you’ve ever been, if you want to have peace, you wanna have hope, you wanna have true belonging, if you wanna be blessed both temporally and spiritually… follow God and let him be the author and finisher of your story. I know that as I continue to trust in him, my life’s gonna lead to places much, much better than what I could have done myself.” Episode sponsor: Serve Clothing Website: https://www.comebackpodcast.org Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/come.back.podcast/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100085100628137 Twitter: https://twitter.com/Come_Back_Pod Tik Tok: https://www.tiktok.com/@come.back.podcast Join our Book Club: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1129233501137568/ If you have a story to share please contact: ashly.comebackpodcast@gmail.com For business inquiries contact: info.comebackpodcast@gmail.com Come Back Team: Director, Founder & Host: Ashly Stone Editor: Cara Reed Outreach Manager: Jenna Carlson Assistant Editor: Michelle Berger Art Director: Jeremy Garcia Production Director: Trent Wardwell
